We offer highly specialized master’s programs focusing on specific areas of study that do not allow for transfer of courses between majors.

Auditions

Q: Do I need to audition for a Berklee in Valencia master’s program?
There are no auditions required for the global entertainment and music business or scoring for film, television, and video games master’s programs. An audition is required for contemporary performance. Check out our Admissions page for further details.

Facilities

Q: Are there practice rooms and instrument storage?
Berklee in Valencia has eight acoustically designed private practice rooms with special units for percussionists and pianists. Instrumental storage will cater to all types and sizes of instruments. Additional rooms will be made available for private practice outside of class time.

Languages

Q: Are classes in English or Spanish?
All classes are conducted in English.

Q: Is there an English language requirement?
Graduate applicants for whom English is a second language either must have successfully completed their undergraduate studies at an English-speaking university or must submit TOEFL results.

Q: Will there be a translator available for my interview?
Berklee in Valencia will not provide a translator for your interview. The interview will be conducted in English.

Q: What are the English language requirements for special programs?
Applicants for our series of special programs are required to have a good understanding of English; however, no standardized test is required to participate in special programs.

Finance and Scholarships

Q: How much is the tuition?
The tuition fee for the one-year master’s programs is $ 35,750. In addition to the tuition fee, there is an application fee of $150, which is nonrefundable, and a tuition deposit of $2,500 euros, which is credited toward tuition fees in the first semester of attendance.

Q: Can the application fee be waived?
Only Berklee undergraduate alumni who are successfully admitted to the master’s program will be credited the $150 application fee towards their tuition.

Q: Are scholarships available?
Limited scholarships are available for the master’s programs. Berklee offers limited merit and need-based financial aid to prospective master’s students, so that the most gifted musicians from all over the world have the means to attend. In order to qualify for Berklee scholarships and grants, students must complete a Berklee Graduate Aid Application. We will be providing updates with specific information about the scholarship process through Scholarships and Financial Aid section of this website.

Q: What is the social life like?
Berklee in Valencia is in the heart of the city’s nightlife, from the Umbracle nightclub to the MTV winter festival. The city’s newest fashionable shopping center, Agua, is a 10-minute walk from Berklee in Valencia through the City of Arts and Sciences. Valencia also has five Blue Flag­–accredited city beaches.
