Berklee’s summer programs offer a wide range of opportunities for today’s musician. From improvisation workshops to jam sessions with world-renowned instructors, there are intense courses in different topics across the musical spectrum.
The aesthetics and tools of flamenco—an integral part of the rich musical and artistic traditions of the Mediterranean—was the focus of this three-day workshop in July, and part of the academic activities of Berklee in Valencia’s Mediterranean Music Institute.
Born in Iran, Neda Shahram is studying music business/management at Berklee in Boston and a prospective Berklee in Valencia graduate student. She talks about her experience during the Flamenco Summer Program and new opportunities to pursue her international music business studies at the Valencia campus.
